Class Overview

Grade 6 at BrightHills Elementary marks the culmination of elementary school, where students are prepared to transition into middle school with robust academic skills and enhanced personal growth. This year is characterized by an increased focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership within both the classroom and the community. Students engage with more advanced academic content, particularly in preparation for the rigor of middle school. Students in Grade 6 take on greater responsibilities, participating in leadership roles and more complex projects. The curriculum encourages independence and self-directed learning, with teachers serving more as guides than direct instructors. This approach helps students refine their ability to manage their own learning and decision-making processes.
